Autumn Health & Well-being Afternoon
Home > Autumn Health & Well-being Afternoon
Yesterday the children took part in the first Health and Wellbeing afternoon of this school year. In assembly they explored the importance of sleep for our health and looked at different ways to improve their sleep routine. The children realised that Star Bear didn’t have a good sleep routine and so the children put Star Bear to bed for a sleep, knowing that a good night’s sleep will make him happier, more alert, and improve memory, learning, performance and brain development!
The children then split into groups to take part in a range of activities; including yoga, sport activities, art, board games, gardening and designing a bedroom that would promote good sleep. The children will visit a different activity in the next Health and Wellbeing afternoon.
Thanks to everyone involved in planning and organising the activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon off timetable in mixed age group classes and it was really beneficial to their health and well-being.
