In Pre-school, our youngest children have been enjoying their “We’re going on a bear hunt!” themed week of learning.
The children have had fun acting out this popular story, and reciting the phrases that they could remember. They also went on a sensory walk, exploring both walking on and touching different materials to see if they could describe what they felt. They also completed a small obstacle course, practising their climbing and balancing skills.
For their creative activities, the children chose their own materials to make a bear’s face. They talked about the different features on the bears and what materials could be used to represent these features.
The sand has been a favourite this week, with children enjoying scooping the sand and building sandcastles. What a lovely week!
