Reception Class Round-up

This week Reception Class have continued to base their learning around the story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. They explored a range of vegetables and fruit and then used some of the vegetables to make their very own soup. Some of them thoroughly enjoyed the soup – it was delicious!

The class have continued to act out the story, re-enacting and reciting some of the repetitive phrases.

On Thursday the children went to Blessed Edward Oldcorne for a multi skills festival. They enjoyed a wide range of activities led by the young leaders, including balancing, jumping, throwing, catching, stretching and exploring different ways of travelling.

At Forest School they have been busy planting some trees. The children had to measure between the trees to ensure they were 1 metre apart and give them a lot of water. We are all looking forward to watching them grow over the next few months and years.
