Hopscotch are thinking about People Who Help Us as our topic this half term. This week we enjoyed learning about vets and all the things they do to help us. In our role play area, we created a surgery, where we made our toy animals better. We used the book Mog and the Ve Ee Te by Judith Kerr to help our learning.
In maths we discovered the concept same and different and made towers of colours, using our skills to explain what we could see. Phonics was exciting as we were concentrating on the different sounds our voices made and we pretended to be lots of animals.
The children measured and mixed their own playdough before they cut out some dog bones. Later in the week children used their colour mixing skills to pain them ready for roleplay next week. In our RE sessions we thought about the colour gold for Easter. We collaged gold crosses to display on our altar.
